I Love...

This new bag that will be arriving via UPS very shortly!

and my early anniversary gift! Pretend that this bike is orange.

I've wanted a nice bike forever! The other day while I was waiting in a line of cars to pick up Grace from school I texted Corey and said "I want to get BIKES!" Little did I know the power of a text. An hour later Corey called me and told me to meet him at the sporting goods store (where I might add his little brother works and gets us deals all of the time). Then an hour after that we both had bikes!! We went for our first family bike ride with the girls and it was a lot of fun. Yesterday Grace forgot something so I rode my bike (with Abby and Kate in the trailer) to her school and I think I even burned a calorie or two!

Anyway, good week for new things! TGIF!

xoxo until next time!

Feeling Green :)

Isn't St. Patrick's Day fun! A day where everyone in the U.S. wears green. We should have holidays for every color don't you think? This morning I made Grace a clover to wear to school. Of course Corey didn't have any green so he got chased out the door by two girls with pinching fingers :)

Kate is officially ONE! I'm still wondering what happened to the past year, but that's okay. She keeps taking a few step here and there, but the kids will get so excited that I think it distracts her and she falls, lol. Her mission these days it to get to the top of the stairs without me catching her. I usually have the gate up blocking and chance of that happening, but whenever I take it down and forget to put it back up for even the tiniest second, she's on her way up.

Saturday night we celebrated with pizza, cake, and presents. Oh, and Grandma, Grandpa, Erica, Ryan, Nicole, and Chuck (the fam).

This last one was Kate waiting for her cake. This one has a lot of patience as you can see. Needless to say there was one very chocolate filled bath at the end of the night.

Have a wonderful day! xoxo until next time.

Getting a Bit Organized and Creative :)

I've been really trying to get organized. You wouldn't know if you came for a visit today, lol, but it really is getting better. I'm doing my one load of laundry a day and keeping up on the dishes and it's really making a huge difference. Now I just need to get the rest of the house looking nice and then work on keeping it that way. Baby steps, right, lol?

Last week my mom told me about a book that her friend told her about. It's called The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person

I've always wanted to know how you thin people think and so I was curious. I started to read a few inserts from the book online and I was hooked. I'm really loving it and it's helping me to stop my negative thoughts about dieting and food. I think that's my main problem. Usually I do great all day and then by the time dinner comes I eat too much and then am willing to run to McDonalds just to get some sugar, lol. I haven't been that way at all over the past week though. Cross your fingers for me that I'll keep this up. It really feels great.

On Saturday I sat down and make a fun little album with some of my favorite pictures of the girls form the last few months. I wasn't very happy with my Walmart prints so I'll have to get some prints done to swap out, but I still had a great time creating and like how it turned out. I used Emily's kit Her Royal Highness which I love. I think I might even break out my sewing machine this week. I really want to make some fun placemats for our table. If any of you Smithfield ladies want to sew with me call me! I'd love some sewing company.

Can you guys believe that my Kate will be ONE on Friday?!! I can't believe that it's been a year already. Even though she's a Pill (definitely with a capital P) she's so much fun and we love her so much. On Saturday we're going to have some family over for some celebrating. I still need to get her something :) Here she is in all of her cuteness playing with her favorite toy from Christmas.

Have a great day! I hope it's not snowing at your house :) xoxo until next time.
