The post I never thought I'd be making

WE'RE GETTING A DOG!! The bold and exclamation are more for shock value that excitement. Corey and I always had this agreement that we're not really "pet" kind of people. Well obviously Corey morphed into a different person over the summer and we had plenty of arguments over it. Well as you can see, I've been outvoted. At least I got to name her, lol, that makes it all worth it right? The girls got to meet her yesterday and we get to bring her home next week. Blog buddies, I'd like you to meet our yellow lab, Meg.

Can I get three cheers for puppy potty training!?!!

Wow. Better you than me. :)

Have fun. At least puppies are cute.

Remember how I accidentally stepped in a pile of your dogs poo with bare feet? Cuz it pooed right on your porch?

Mmm. Dogs.

She's adorable - just like the dog we had in high school. Frankly, I'm more worried about 3 year old girl potty training than puppy potty training though! I hope you have better luck than I'm having on that front!

Very cute!! Welcome to pet parenthood! Sorry i have been a flake!! I hope you don't think i'm a horrible friend!! Sorry!! 2 bits of advice: BUY PET ENZYME!! It is the best for cleaning up accidents!! And also get some no chew stuff. Cause puppies chew EVERYTHING!! Also be patient. Sometimes it can take a while for them to get the potty training! And Good luck!!

*Snicker* Hmmmm... I guess we can see who won this argument. Good luck is all I can say. Make sure to walk the dog twice a day. That is the BEST advice I can give you. Walk her right away. If she can only walk a little bit no big deal but walk, walk, walk. You will avoid a world of problems if you walk her -- a lot. And read. Find all the pet care books you can and read. That is what helped me so much when we got a dog. It is a LOT of work. Good luck. Cute puppy.

I feel for you. Ryan is trying to go through the same morph and I'm trying to stop it early! :) Let me know if she captures your heart, and you turn into a pet person too! :)

Hang a bell on the back door and ring it every time you take her out to "get Busy". When she gets a bit older, help her ring the bell herself and before you know it, she will signal you when she needs to go out all by herself. Best thing you can teach a lab.
