Getting a Bit Organized and Creative :)

I've been really trying to get organized. You wouldn't know if you came for a visit today, lol, but it really is getting better. I'm doing my one load of laundry a day and keeping up on the dishes and it's really making a huge difference. Now I just need to get the rest of the house looking nice and then work on keeping it that way. Baby steps, right, lol?

Last week my mom told me about a book that her friend told her about. It's called The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person

I've always wanted to know how you thin people think and so I was curious. I started to read a few inserts from the book online and I was hooked. I'm really loving it and it's helping me to stop my negative thoughts about dieting and food. I think that's my main problem. Usually I do great all day and then by the time dinner comes I eat too much and then am willing to run to McDonalds just to get some sugar, lol. I haven't been that way at all over the past week though. Cross your fingers for me that I'll keep this up. It really feels great.

On Saturday I sat down and make a fun little album with some of my favorite pictures of the girls form the last few months. I wasn't very happy with my Walmart prints so I'll have to get some prints done to swap out, but I still had a great time creating and like how it turned out. I used Emily's kit Her Royal Highness which I love. I think I might even break out my sewing machine this week. I really want to make some fun placemats for our table. If any of you Smithfield ladies want to sew with me call me! I'd love some sewing company.

Can you guys believe that my Kate will be ONE on Friday?!! I can't believe that it's been a year already. Even though she's a Pill (definitely with a capital P) she's so much fun and we love her so much. On Saturday we're going to have some family over for some celebrating. I still need to get her something :) Here she is in all of her cuteness playing with her favorite toy from Christmas.

Have a great day! I hope it's not snowing at your house :) xoxo until next time.

Wow! I think I will read that book, too! And do I have to know how to sew to come over? I could sew on some buttons while you made some of those incredibly adorable things that you are always making. I could watch. I could wish I were making such cute things, too. I could curse my mother for never teaching me. I could paint your laundry room??? Kate is so cute as well, but you are already aware. And I really think you have the date wrong. There is NO WAY she is one!!!!???
