I just can't seem to think of a theme for this post, lol. The last few days have gone by quickly. It is still too cold to do anything outside, but I'm happy indoors for now. On Friday I didn't want to go back home after picking of Grace from school so I easily got talked into ice cream even though the weather was in the single digits that day. The upside to that is that there wasn't anyone in front of us to order :)
On Saturday the girls and I finally sat down and broke out Grace's tie dye kit that she got for Christmas. It was a lot of fun and I could easily get hooked. The only think that I can't figure out is how to keep the colors to bright and vibrant. After I dried the shirts they were already faded and gray looking (the kids still thought they looked awesome though so I'm glad for that).
Today Abby was out of school and Grace only had a half day for parent teacher conferences. I spent most of the time that Grace was in school rearranging bedrooms so that Grace can now have her own room. She was so excited when she got home. She has discussed with me more than once that she needs a space of her own. You'd think the kid was a teenager, but I thought it would be nice to try at least. We'll see how Abby and Kate do as roommates :) If I can ever get the kids in bed tonight I will be watching too many great shows and crocheting.

Hey Tiff...we made Tye Dye shirts for Activity days this past summer and I did a lot of research. You have to soak the shirts in soda ash before you apply the color. We found it at a pool supply store. It is basically 100% sodium carbonate. Google it for more directions...but it definitely makes a difference. We had to make a last minute batch after we had used it all and they were not as bright and clean looking as the first batch of shirts. Try it!
